Fear mongering tactics. Been going there for 4+ yrs with my FJ, with all mileage maintenance updates. Last owner, wonderful. New owner, scammy. This dealership has gone down the toilet. The service dept is all over the place. Oil changes taking 2+ hours. Staff is rude. Cant question anything without being talked down to rudely. I asked a guy named Mike in the svc dept who was working on my car. This man literally says to me “why do you need to know that? I had my car serviced there. They recommended brake service after inspection. I knew I was close on brakes so I had them do it. The quote was on the high side but in the dealer range. I asked the service advisor if I could use their coupon for $30 of majfor service. He applied the coupon and then charged me $38 of “additional fees”. I’m used to $40 to $10 pf “shop fees” but $38 is xxxxxx stupid. I wrote to customer service about this asking for an explanation of what I paid the $38 for and received no answer. Ignorant, rude and disrespectful staff in the service department. I made an 8AM service appointment to get my oil changed. Waited 20 mins in my car as 5 staff members continuously walked by me and ignored me. After 20 minutes of waiting a disgruntled, angry and confused employee “William Obin” in the service department decided to help me. If you go to this place bring your lawyer! Paperwork disappears or changes as soon as it leaves your sight. Every staff member in sales and finance was rude to the point of being ignorant and arrogant through the whole experience. They are overpriced and will do anything to take as much money from you as they can. They refuse to take checks from any bank other than the ones they use. If you are from another state they will not fill out the paperwork for the DMV in your state. They will only fill out the Massachusetts RMV1. D... read more
I'm not one to write reviews but I do feel my fellow Toyota owners need to avoid this dealership. This place requires you to wait 2 plus hours for a scheduled oil change or leave your car for the day. They leave this information out when you purchase your new vehicle. The service writers are very rude and seem unphased by presence of customers. I have been here more than once and had to wait for a personal conversations to finish before being acknowledged. Mike Caldwell is THE WORST. He is a rude, flippant, arrogant, on a power trip, insolent, sad vacuous human. He should be fired immediately just based on how he treats people and how he responds to reviews. Being in his presence at rt 2 Toyota was the most disgusting, awful time I have ever spent somewhere. This is the worst experience I have ever had working with a car dealership. We live out of state and our car broke down. We thought it would be smart to have it towed to a Toyota dealership. The car was towed there on Saturday. We were given an 8 am appointment on Monday. We got a runaround until Tuesday afternoon when we they were still telling us the car was in diagnostics and then miraculously gave us a repair quote 5 minutes later.. We brought our 2009 corolla for a simple oil change and tire rotation last week. They recommended that we did a FI service, so we did. Come to find out, that the tech broke a coolant nipple off of the car on accident. How this even happens, is beyond me. I don't care that the car is old and brittle, there is no reason why he was near the cooling system doing a fuel injection cleaner. He must have been swinging a hammer around like a xxxxxx.
