This was a trip to simply test drive a Sienna CE or LE. I did my usual research from Consumer Reports, checked out the prices and looked at the packages/options. Kevin was very professional in walking us through the process of test driving and looking at the options/pricing. I never felt pressured nor subjected to the usual sales tactics or antics (eg a manager walking over or pressuring me to "buy now to avail of the day discounts". Kevin was a person you can trust by the things he was saying that I have found to be true du... read more

I ordered a new Prius on July 2, 2008. I was told that if any became available sooner, I would certainly be notified. Two other local Toyota dealerships notified me during my 4 month wait that they had Priuses available for a total of 9 cars. Acton Toyota did not call me once, no communication whatsoever. Did Acton Toyota simply sell any available Priuses to customers off the street to insure an additional sales instead of contacting customers on the waiting list? I finally called the dealership on Oct. 20, spoke to Shawnee,... read more

Business response:

I would like to apologize for not being better informed of your situation. As the manager of our Internet Sales Department, I am responsible for knowing all that occurs within it, but with yours I did not. I did not know we continually failed you in making frequent contact regarding the status of your order and wait time. I also did not know that the vehicle we ultimately delivered you was not as you specified. Our dealership and specifically Internet department prides itself on delivering a positive buying experience. We kn... read more

I had 30,000 mile service on my Toyota Highlander on Aug 6,08. I had looked at the brochure menu for this, and the items listed included changing of the transmission fluid and engine coolant. When I arrived home,my first look at the service invoice showed that the transmission fluid had not been changed. I called Daniel Sweeney and was told that maybe my vehicle did not need the fluid changed. Another look at the parts list on a different date revealed that the engine coolant had not been changed. Even though these services ... read more

Business response:

Thank you for informing us of your recent experience. I can certainly understand your concern regarding conflicts in our menu and our explanation. Because of your concern, we have discovered a problem with our printed menu that needs revision because of the changing recommended intervals for engine coolant on some vehicles. Your vehicle is equipped with a 90k mile engine coolant, and the coolant no longer needs to be drained and replaced every 30k miles like previous models. Our new menus will be updated to reflect these cha... read more

Gave me the wrong information about the price, then refused to negotiate. Walked out. Felt like they were trying to rip me off. I was very disappointed because the reviews were so positive and I really wanted to buy my car at this dealership. I ended up buying one a week later at another dealership. Acton's pricing is too high and they are living off their rep. No sale.

Business response:

I am sorry to read about your negative experience at our dealership. I am particularly upset to read that our dealership provided you the wrong information about the price of the vehicle. We pride ourselves on being an honest dealership where pricing is upfront, transparent, and the "easy part" of a purchase. We constantly evaluate the pricing of our vehicles, both new and pre-owned, to ensure we are very competitive, but realize we do make mistakes despite all our efforts. I would welcome the opportunity to speak with you s... read more

I emailed this dealership and ask them for a quote for Toyota Sienna with particular feature set and color. They gave me a price and we started to negotiate the price. After fifth or sixth email that came out that they didn’t have a car I needed. They had only one with different features and in different color. When I asked why they were wasting my time then they said that it wasn’t fare and that I didn’t give them any chance. It wasn’t an adult conversation. It was ridiculous.

Business response:

On behalf of Acton Toyota, I would like to sincerely apologize for your poor experience with our dealership. We take great pride in consistently providing a hassle-free and honest purchasing experience and I am disappointed to know that we failed you. I reviewed your email correspondence with us and noted what appeared to be confusion on our part. I believe this unfortunately lead to the numerous emails. This is, in part, why I’ve always suggested to our salespeople that phone conversation, if welcomed by the customer, is th... read more

I went to two Toyota dealerships that are closer to my home to test drive new Toyotas. It wasn't until I requested quotes online that I discovered the gem that is Acton Toyota. While other dealerships would not offer me a quote online, instead trying to invite me to the dealership to negotiate, Bob Raab of Acton Toyota emailed me an actual quote. Not only did he quote me a price on several models, he also emphasized that the price would not change once I arrived at the dealership. I was thrilled when he stood by his word!!!!... read more

Very bad experience with this dealership. I was looking for a 2009 Camry. First of all, they started quoting me all these fees: “$10 Gas fee, $126 Floormats, $200 Finance Reserves, $424 Factory Holdback, and $280 Advertising”. These fees set off alarm bells in my head, but I thought, “well, they seem to be highly rated.” We decided to visit the dealership anyway to check it out, but I was on my guard because of the fees. After some negotiation, they agree to take an additional it down $400 because we were graduating students... read more

Business response:

On behalf of Acton Toyota, let me apologize for any misunderstanding we may have caused. While there are two sides to every story, we obviously failed to properly explain the requirements of the College Grad program during your first visit. I know that if the tables were turned and I were the customer, I would not have been happy. In moving forward, I can assure you that we will use your feedback to improve our process.

I requested a quote for a 2009 Camry and was given quotes for 2008s. I looked at these quotes to determine if of interest but for some reason Acton Toyota is still not able to provide a quote on the current 2009 model for me although in currently available and in inventory.

Business response:

Hi Gregg, Glad we have been able to resolve this matter. I'm sure Anthony is taking very good care of you however, if there is anything at all I can do please ask. I am here to help. Sincerely, Matt Lamoureux

I recently visited the Acton Toyota dealership looking to purchase a new vehicle. At first, everything seemed to be going ok. The sales guy was friendly and he showed us a selection of vehicles that we were interested in. I finally selected a Sienna that I was interested in and when it came time to sit down and do a deal, he kept speaking only to my husband. My husband told him three times that the vehicle was for me and I was the decision maker, but he kept only speaking to my husband. It was as if I didn't exist because I ... read more
