Purchased a brand new Venza in 2011 and was very happy with the buying experience. It was very easy,honest and straight forward. I drive a lot of miles annually so I bring the car into the dealer often for service. I have always taken in to Acton even though I drive bye to other Toyota dealers. My experience with this dealership has been appalling. I bought a supposedly new RAV4 from them (salesperson was Maryanne Shannon) and they fraudulently misled me into believing the vehicle had negligible miles on it (the paperwork said it had 7 miles on it). I am pursuing redress with the State of Massachusetts for this deception. Worse still, the vehicle suffered a catastrophic failure while on the open road. I had it recovered to the dealership, where both the dealership and Toyota declared the vehicle to be trouble free.... read more
We bought used Honda Civic LX-S. Car is running good, but customer service is so-so comparing to other dealerships. I've already bought 3 cars and my favorite is Central Kia/Dodge/Fiat. Acton Toyota started off giving us a very low offer for our 2012 Honda Civic Si trade-in. Several days later they matched Boch Toyota's Consumer Reports subscriber price in order to make up for our low trade-in offer. We had quite a few issues with this dealer. One of the issues arose because we lived out of state in NH and we were purchasing the car in MA. The purchase of the car was great! Dealing with Chris was great for the price, and Steve the runner was great!! The only problem I had was when Chris asked me to check the Van over and let him know what needed to get done before they delivered the Van I told him that they needed to change the transmission fluid, change the wiper blades, put some floor mats in, buff out the exterior and detail the inside I notice some chocolate and other things (Cup holder did not close easy) that could be cleaned. I went to this dealership to buy a used car. Wanted to buy 1 that day. Looking at a car that they just knock a 1000 off of. I asked to take a nother 500 so the payment would be where I wanted it. He said there was no way he could do it I said fine and left. Went got a good deal on a honda. I drive by the annex all most everyday for work. 2 weeks later the car is knocked down a nother 1000. I have had leaking tire valves for over 2 years. I have brought it in for over a dozen times it has never been fixed. most times including the last times they made it worse. They did give me a prorated refund on some tires.
I thought I would try the dealer to repair my old Toyota 4Runner stuck in 4WD. They said they would diagnose it for 99 dollars and apply it to the repair if I decided to do it there -- Seemed fair. The next morning I got a call saying that there were 4 possible bad sensors and they did not know which one it was and that it would, and it would be another 450 to 500 dollar per switch to find out. Called twice to get a regular service quote, both time were checked and confirmed what's included. But after I got in, the service rep apologized that they quote me wrong. The manager came which just repeat the same thing and offer no help and does not honor the mistake they made. DO NOT TRUST WHAT THEY TELL YOU ON THE PHONE AND THEY WILL NOT HONOR IT. Very upset, wasted two hours. , got in early with an empty stomach and came back with nothing done.
